  1. Maybe that kind of thinking worked back in his day, but science has come a long way. It is impossible for everyone to have an expert understanding of every field. I doubt even Da Vinci could have managed to get all the PHDs.

  2. True. It has a derogatory feel that isn't really there though.
    I'd just like to point out that memory can be a very good tool in an argument. Like statistics and such.
